MP for Kororoit

Luba grew up in Melbourne’s West, completing high school at Mount St Joseph Girls College in Altona West before being accepted to Victoria University where she completed a double degree in Business and Arts. In 2014, she became the first woman and youngest ever State Secretary of the Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RTBU), of 8000+ members. In her role as the Victorian Branch Secretary of the RTBU, she spent her working life advocating to ensure members are respected in the workplace, improve conditions at work and safety on the job. Looking out and standing up for working people is important to Luba because she understands firsthand the need to be valued, respected and safe in your workplace.
