Get behind Big Difference to help make an even bigger difference 

Help assemble 100,000 FORaMEAL emergency relief meals for people affected by disaster in Ukraine, Turkey, and Syria

 
Rotary District 9800’s Big Difference is hosting 1,000+ volunteers at Fed Square on Saturday 27 May between 10am and 4pm to assemble FORaMEAL emergency relief meals made up of long-lasting ingredients such as rice, lentils, oats, and essential nutrients for people in need. 
 
It’s an easy way to improve lives and do good in the world, with no experience or skills required, and participation is free! Volunteers can select all the one-hour shifts that suit between 10am and 4pm. Ingredients, equipment, and sanitary gloves and hairwear are all provided. Big Difference is undercover, outdoors, so dress for the weather, including comfortable shoes.

Register to help supervise volunteers on the day

 
This is an incredible opportunity to connect with new volunteers from across the community and help make a big difference to 100,000 people in need.
 
You’ll be trained by FORaMEAL to supervise a table of 12 volunteers to assemble meal satchels from dry ingredients, and pack sealed satchels into boxes for transportation. Shifts are for three hours, in the morning or afternoon.
 
But the real opportunity is to meet people who love to volunteer and want to make a difference, ask them what they’re looking for in community service, and suggest your own projects.
 
Clubs are welcome to display their pop-up banners and have flyers available.

Encourage your club’s community supporters and partners to register their own teams of 24 volunteers

 
This is an incredible opportunity to engage those organisations in the community that support your club, to have fun volunteering together – with you – to make a meaningful difference 
 
Of course, it’s always more fun to make a difference as a team, because there’s nothing like working together in shared purpose. Our Volunteer with the DG events demonstrated that meaningful, hands on volunteering as a team is fantastic for engaging employees, bonding with colleagues, or simply having fun with your mates.
 
Use Big Difference to encourage your club’s community supporters and partners to register two tables (24 pax) of volunteers as a team-building event that also makes a meaningful difference for people in need.
