We did not have a speaker this week, so what did we get up to. Well we caught up with each other, just to see what we had been up to since the last meeting. Sometimes it just good to catch up and ask R U Ok. We would love to meet in person but for now this is not possible due to the lockdown in Victoria. It was really good to see each other and say hi. Thank goodness for technology.

A topic we did have was what was our first job, an interesting workplace and a strange job. We had some really good ones by David and Pauline and how they got that job. I'll not get into details but when you are young and like all of us, a little naive, we do strange things. Which often we are not aware off at the time. What really struck me was how our different our cultures can be. Growing up in Australia is very different from growing up in Asia. We have an good mix of members from different culture, Irish, Singaporean, Indian, Australian and other nationalities. We had a good laugh at how we got into our first job and what we had to do to earn a dollar. Especially how different western vs eastern cultures can be. Perhaps that is why we get along so well. We are truly a diverse and inclusive group or people. As Rotarians we have a common goal, and that is to serve to change lives. If your interested in joining us at the next meeting do drop us an email and we will send you the link.
