Thank you Mayor Steve Abboushi - City of Melton for sharing with Rotary Caroline Springs our ceremony on our journey for building Peace within the Melton community and surrounding suburbs. Together with all Rotarians and volunteers we must continue to strive to build Peace within us and for the community. This is only the start our Peace journey. A single Peace Pole saying 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' may seem insignificant but just like Mahtama Gandi peaceful protest seeking independance in India all it takes is one person to make a difference. That person starts with you to help to spread the message of Peace to an entire community.
We also thank Luba Grigorovitch MP, Steve McGhie MP, Cr. Kathy Majdlik - City of Melton and Cr Lara Carli - City of Melton - Sugar Gum Ward for making this happen. We also thank Wendy Mason (Caroline Springs RSL Subbranch), Peter Berg from Rotary SAFE Families - Building a Culture of Family Peace and Michael Dowling of Rotary Club of Melton Valley (VIC) AUS AUS and Rhea Varma for joining us today.
