At the meeting on 26 July we had our guest speaker from the CFA Ryan Baker (Community Safety Coordinator) join us to tell us a little about the Carolines Springs CFA and the work that they do within the community. Little did we know that Caroline Springs is now home to 75,000 residents and rising. Within 5 years this is expected to grow by another 30,000 residents at least. The brigade comprising of some 40 volunteers, more is needed, cover an area of 75 square kilometres working in conjunction with Fire Rescue Victoria. Their response time is around 4 minutes and on scene a minute later. What plays a big part of what the CFA does, is not only responding to emergencies but education through schools, visits and just their general presence within the community. We are grateful to have these amazing men and women within our community keeping us safe. Thank you Ryan for keeping us informed. Let's give a round of applause to our amazing volunteers.
