Christmas Tree Sales - Dec 2021
Thank you to all the volunteers that helped sell the trees over two weekends. Especially David and Ross for collecting the Christmas Trees for us to sell. Special thank to YPA for the excellent signage. We had fun chatted and just loved to see the smile on the faces that bought the trees. Merry Christmas to all.

Busy Feet
BusyFeet Dance program for Children with a Disability designed to create a special place for children aged 6 to 16 by exploring their natural love of movement and music through dance. It is conducted in a fun, safe environment where everyone feels special and is respected for their individual ability and children receive one on one support. This is a program that is available for all Clubs to develop and run in their communities. It is a totally volunteer based project which involves Rotarians, Partners, Friends, Past Members and local residents all volunteering their time and skills on a weekly basis during school term and places the Rotary Club into active service within the community on a regular basis. It may also involve schools and local councils. The program also assists parents, as during the dance time they are able to develop friendships and discuss issues with others in similar circumstances. They may take the time to just go for a walk or visit the library.

Camp Getaway Axedale
Camp Getaway provides a quality recreational camp experience for people of all abilities. Thousands of voluntary hours have gone into redeveloping the site, which now includes self-contained units with full disabled facilities, modern dormitories and many other improvements. Each year Rotarians have undertaken working bees at Camp Getaway and have enjoyed Club fellowship. As there is always refurbishment and maintenance activities to be done this is a great hands-on project for Clubs. Program representative: Wayne Smith (Bendigo) www.campgetaway.com.au

Run for Rotary 2021
Our Run for Rotary fundraising campaign is almost coming to an end... (only 19 more hours from writing until it closes officially in the Chuffed platform)... Our club members are all super proud to let you know that together we have raised $2905 so far (towards our goal of $3000). Deepti Alurkar from Multicultural Association of Community Empowerment Inc, Kathy Hall our Rotary club president and I met yesterday to discuss the next steps of the campaign and also the results of the MACE fundraiser. Both are raising funds to go to Covid Relief in India / Feed the Hungry Campaign. Together these two campaigns are just shy of raising $6500 (only $218 to go.. how great is that)!. We're excited that we'll be sharing more details of the next steps as they happen soon. Until then if you are able and wanting to donate and haven't done so yet here is the link again below. Thank you to everyone that donated or participated in one way or another. Author: Wendy Gadsby
