Welcome to the ‘restart’ of the Rotary year now that restrictions have lifted and we can get back to doing what we do best.  Helping our community!

 

We have several activities coming up before the Christmas break, including our club picnic at Brimbank Park.  This year we will be joined by our Busyfeet children and their families, who have had to take part in their regular dance sessions via Zoom.  It will be so wonderful to have everyone celebrate the end of the year in person.  Fingers crossed for some great weather.

 

January will see us back at Bunnings Caroline Springs for a couple of BBQs, and then we have an event planned to celebrate Australia Day.  More details on these activities will be released shortly.

Western Emergency Relief Network (WERN)

WERN, located in Ravenhall, is a Rotary program with a catchment across north and west of Melbourne. WERN supplies good quality second-hand furniture, electronics and whitegoods to people in need without charge.

Those assisted are identified as having urgent needs as a result of trauma, loss or being unable to afford basic living items. They include individuals experiencing long-term illness, unemployment, loss of home and belongings through fire, domestic violence, lack of family support, homelessness or a refugee status.
